Day One,

Monday, March 23, 2026

Arrival / Check-in 12:00-2:00

Check in on the ranch, meet other attendees, and enjoy lunch at The Overlook.

Intros / Expectations 2:00-3:00

We’ll walk through the schedule for our time together, get to know one another, and share expectations for the group.

Speaker Session - Foundation Setting 3:45-4:45

Dr. Mairi-Jane Fox will walk us through ecological economics and what the invitation is for us to co-create.

Speaker Session - Introduction to the land 4:45-6:00

Sallie Calhoun, CEO of Paicines Ranch and Founder of NoRegrets Initiative, will offer an introduction to the ranch and what investing with no regrets implies.

Dinner 6:00-7:00

Settle into the place and the community over ranch meat, local produce, and the beauty around us.

Group work introduction 7:15

Capital Commons Director, Alex, will introduce the group work component of this summit.

Group work time 7:30-8:30

Gather with your group to discuss the first deliverable. Dr. Fox will be present to offer insight and answer questions as the case work unfolds.


Day Two,

Tuesday, March 24, 2026

Breakfast 7:30-8:30

Join the group for breakfast and coffee at The Overlook.

Orientation to the day 8:45-9:00

Speaker Session - Economy of Nature 9:00-10:30

Kelly Mulville will walk us up to the vineyard and share what it’s like to intentionally manage for complexity. This mindset is critical to work alongside natural systems.

Speaker Session - Cienega Capital 11:00-12:30

Sallie Calhoun and Esther Park walk us through the investment into the ranch, progress and hurdles along the way, measurable outcomes, and portfolio management.

Lunch 12:30-1:30

Enjoy lunch with your working group and continue with phase two of the case study.

Speaker Session - Impact investing over time 2:00-3:30

Esther Park will share with us historical context and trends of impact investing over the past decade, and how we arrived to the current practices.

Speaker Session - Entrepreneurial Panel 3:45-5:15

Loren Poncia, the Owner and Founder of Stemple Creek, and the team at Lotus Foods, share in conversation with Esther. This session will spotlight successful business leaders advancing ecological and social well-being through innovative, values-aligned business models.

Integration 5:30-6:00

Dr. Fox, Elaine, and Esther will take a moment to digest what’s been covered since the start of the summit. This is a chance for the material and creative thought to integrate as we settle into the second evening on the ranch.

Dinner 6:00-7:30

Collective dinner at The Overlook. Members of the livestock and vineyard teams will join us. Cash bar will be open, featuring wine made from grapes produced on the ranch.

Speaker Session - Ask me anything 7:30-8:30

Attendees have a chance to ask all the facilitators any and all burning questions.

Group Work Wrap-up 8:30-9:30

Groups take the rest of the night to wrap up phase 3 of the case study and prepare a brief presentation to share out with the rest of group on Day 3. Dr. Fox will work alongside groups for any questions and inspiration.


Day Three,

Wednesday, March 25, 2026

Breakfast 7:30-8:30

Join the group for breakfast and coffee at The Overlook.

Orientation to the day 8:45-9:00

Group’s present outcomes 9:00-10:00

Each group will have a chance to share the investment over time with the case study they managed.

Review the outcomes 10:00-10:30

Facilitators have the chance to offer feedback and insight to each groups choices.

Speaker Session - what we walk away with 10:45-12:00

Dr. Fox and Elaine synthesize our time together. We get to consider what everyone will walk away with and what we will do with it.

Elaine guides us in the wrap-up of what this time and space have offered us.

Lunch / Departures 12:30-1:30
